“Reminds me of Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax and Horton Hears a Who. I love this book! I bought 3 copies of The Girl Who Carried Too Much Stuff at Marc’s book launch. I absolutely love this book and can’t wait to share my copies with my young friends and family members. Marc’s writing reminds me of Dr. Seuss in that it is fun and accessible… yet has a wonderful and caring philosophy to back up the prose. I put it on the same level as The Lorax or Horton Hears a Who in that this book has a moral core about valuing people more than things.”

“Marc Boston’s books burst with fun and positivity! They’re sure to delight and inspire both kids and adults. I can’t wait to see what other stories he’ll share with the world!”

National Book Award Winning Author, 'Mockingbird', 'The Incredible Magic of Being'
“Marc brings a fresh, fun voice to children’s literature.  With humor and heart, his books address real life issues and speak to both children and adults.  I’m always left smiling and nodding after one of Marc’s books.”

The Children in Westhaven – An Interview with Cville Tomorrow

Ashley Freeman’s daughter, Laila, has a knack for helping people. Her desire to aid those in need grabbed the attention of the creators of a new children’s book — A Promise to Grow. The book follows the story of a boy named CJ who aspires to build a community garden and perform other kind deeds in Westhaven, a public housing community in Charlottesville.
