At Home with the Bostons – One Night Only, Memphis (Video Short)

During our epic road trip to Dallas last month, along the way we stopped for an evening in the uniquely interesting city by the Mississippi River, Memphis Tennessee.

Known for Beale Street, blues, and bbq, with such notable musical artists like, Aretha FranklinB.B. King, Howlin’ Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Otis Redding, and Issac Hayes, either being from there or getting their start in this West Tennessee town.

Home to a large African American population, Memphis also played a role in the civil rights moment of the 1960s, and was the site of one of the most tragic events in American History – the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King.  The city now hosts the National Civil Rights museum at the former Lorraine Hotel, where our American hero was slain.

Although, we were only passing through, Memphis struck us as a place worthy of an extended stay.

So check out this video short from our new Youtube Channel, At Home with the Bostons. And if you get over there and see something you like, feel free to Subscribe! And stay tuned for the extended Memphis video, coming soon.
